Grade 10 Students will write the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test on:

On this page you will find information to help you prepare for the literacy test. You will also find information that helps students and parents/guardians understand what the literacy test is, as well as how to prepare for the assessment.
Preparing Students
Students will take part in scheduled preparation sessions during the regular school day on the following dates:
Monday 18 March – Block A |
Tuesday 19 March – Block B |
Thursday 21 March – Block C |
Friday 22 March – Block D |
Teachers will lead students through study of different sections of the literacy test booklet. Please see the sample booklets attached above. Staff will also provide specific preparation sessions for ESL students and those who have an Individual Education Plan (IEP), or supports through REC, as well as sessions for previously eligible students. These sessions will be available during the school day, with some sessions being offered before the start of the school day.
On Monday 25 February, students will be invited to a short assembly where staff will share information with regard to the following:
- The OSSLT date
- Planning and Preparation Sessions
- Test Day Schedule
Following the assembly the presentation will be available.
