Welcome to another great year of music here at WCI! We are very excited for all that is on the schedule, so be sure to check out the important dates below!
Signing up for music ensembles at WCI is a MULTI-STEP PROCESS. Please ensure that you have completed all 2 steps by Wednesday, September 13TH
- Register for your Ensemble(s) by clicking this link and filling out the Google Form: https://forms.gle/4fL1CXGn3N3d1jyEA Please have this completed by Wednesday, September 13TH
- Login to school-day.com to pay your ensemble fees and to submit your On-Going Consent Form. Fees are based upon the amount of ensembles you participate in.
There are NO AUDITIONS for the Choir, Band, Guitar Ensembles, Junior, Intermediate and Senior Orchestras. If you are interested in playing Senior Chamber Orchestra, or if you would like to be a section leader in a Senior Ensemble, please be sure to sign up for an audition time outside the music room.
The ensemble information meeting will be Monday, September 11th at lunch in Room 231 (the main music room).
All ensembles will start rehearsing the week of September 18th.

- September 13 and 14, 2023 – Section Leader (Int and Sr Orch) and Senior Chamber Orchestra auditions (sign up for a time outside the music room)
- September 18, 2023 – All ensembles except Junior Orchestra start rehearsals!
- November 2-3, 2023 – WRDSB Grade 10 String Symposium at WLU
- November 8, 2023 – Remembrance Day Assemblies
- November 23, 2023 – Elementary School Tour
- December 7, 2023 – 7:00 PM – WCI Winter Music Night
- March 27-28, 2024 – Overnight trip to Toronto! Senior Orchestra and Choir – Highlights include seeing Les Mis at Mirvish, the TSO, and ensemble clinics at U of T with guest clinicians (additional fee)
- April, 2024 – Kiwanis Music Festival – Times TBC
- May 1, 2024 – 7:00 PM – WCI Spring Music Night
