This year we are hosting our first Virtual Walk for Hope from Oct 26-Oct 30.  Our goal as a school is to walk to Syria which is 9,371 km from WCI.  We have partnered up with Mennonite Central Committee and Crossing Borders Hope Fund to help fundraise and reunite one of our Viking families that have been separate by war. Our school goal is to raise $10,000 by Oct 30th.

 

To Register please click on the logo below and fill in the google form.  Once you have completed the form you will receive an email with the walking App instructions which will track the distance you walk and your pledge envelope will be delivered to your classroom so you can get your fundraising started.

 

Students must raise a minimum of $20 to participate.
If students raise $50 they will receive 10 Volunteer hours.
If they raise $75 they will receive a T-shirt and 10 volunteer Hours.

Students are encouraged to get pledges from people in their bubble, call friends and family to make online donations and to make sure they are following all of the Public Health Guidelines when fundraising. If every participant walks 5km each day from Oct 26-Oct 30 WCI will reach our goal to walk to Syria and help reunite one of our Viking families.

If you are unable to participate but would like to donate please click on the Crossing Borders Hope fund to donate directly to this great cause.

WCI will also be selling Walk for Hope T-shirts on school-day so please stay tuned for more information. All proceeds will be donated the Crossing Borders Hope Fund.
