WCI and the WRDSB recognize that commencement celebrations are crucial milestones in our students’ academic journeys. It is a time to acknowledge the accomplishments and hard work you’ve put forward in earning your diplomas and prepare for future pathways.

We still plan to celebrate you.

As you know, WCI could not run what would have been our first June commencement due to COVID closures.  This was deeply disappointing for staff and students.  In an effort to recognize your achievements this fall, planning is currently underway at the board level to develop a concept for Commencement for all of the WRDSB Secondary Schools – something that will honour our graduates while adhering to current health and safety requirements.

Here is what we know so far:

• Commencement will be virtual this year
• We will still arrange a pick up of Diplomas, Yearbooks and other related materials
• We expect the date will be a bit later than originally anticipated
