WCI has a strong tradition of helping communities in need. This spring WCI will be partnering with the Education 4 Change Foundation founded by one of our own staff members Abdi Maawiye and host 1 Step Closer 2 Change. Draw for a Difference Walk-A-Thon with multiple daily draw prizes. The Education 4 Change foundation has been working with the education system in Ethiopia to help make education more available, equitable and have resources. As a school we are challenged to walk to Ethiopia which is 11,675km. Registration is only $5 and gives students 3 raffle tickets. Our goal is to have 400 WCI students and their families work together to reach our goal of walking to Ethiopia.
Registration is done through School-Day once you purchase your tickets. This event opens on Friday May 7 and runs until Friday May 21. Any student that registers on Friday May 7 will receive an extra raffle ticket. Once students have registered they will receive the information for the WCI Walks App, including how to sign up so we can track all of our progress together. We will begin our walk on May 25-31st.
All proceeds will be donated to Education for Change. Every participant will receive a WCI Vikings Sticker and a chance to win daily prizes and the grand prize.

- Grand Prize The Wonderboom speaker value of $100
- There will also be prizes for the top distance participates
