We wish a warm welcome back to our returning students and a special welcome to our Grade 9 students and families that are new to the area.

We are excited to get back in our building with our students. The health, safety, and well-being of all who attend WCI is our greatest priority.

School will start at 8:15 AM and all students will be dismissed at 1:55 PM.  As with last year, the doors will not open until 8 AM so please plan accordingly.

On Thursday, September 2nd your 1st Period teacher will email you to introduce themselves and let you know your entry door and room location for your first day of classes (See special schedule below)  NOTE: There is additional information available for Grade 9 students in the Grade 9 Google Classroom.  Please use the code: 3bhkprh to join to find out more about your first day.

Grade 11: dyrvca2
Grade 12 & 5th year: cqenpby

Please note that we will not be assigning lockers at this time.

There are no cafeteria services at WCI.  We recommend that you pack your lunch with you and bring a water bottle.  Students will be eating their lunches in their morning class.  If you must leave at lunch you will not be able to return to school until the beginning of the afternoon class block.  Further details will be shared with you on the first day of school.

WCI has been undergoing some major construction and this will be impacting how we get started this year.  Most significantly is the construction at the front of the school that prevents us from accessing the entrances on Hazel Street for a little bit longer

For students who ride a bus to school

Your bus will drop you off on Hickory Street East of Hazel Street – you will then walk up the path by our tennis courts and the football field will be right there.  Staff will be on Hickory Street to make sure you know which way to go.

For students who walk or ride a bike.

Consider taking a path that will take you either to the driveway entrance on Columbia or the walking path from Hickory.  You can look on Google Earth to see the overview of the school.  You will not be able to use the Hazel Street Entrances right away.  We may not have bike racks available right away – so please check back for updates on Friday to find out if we will have bike racks available for the start of school.

For students who will be getting a ride in a vehicle

Consider having your ride drop you off on Hickory Street west of Hazel Street to avoid the line of school buses.  From there you will be able to walk over to the school property.  The entrances on Hazel will not be available for the start of school so you will have to walk over to Hickory or Columbia if you are dropped off on Hazel Street.

Enjoy your last few days of the summer holiday and we will see you next week!
