POST-SECONDARY PLANNING INFORMATION
Do you have a student that is graduating this year from WCI? Do they have questions about post-secondary? Or, is your student in another grade that is looking for more resources for post-secondary planning?
We are here to help! WCI Guidance has been visiting Grade 12 classrooms this week to show the “Post-Secondary Planning Information Session” video and answer any questions. This is a very helpful resource for families to also view if interested. The accompanying “Post-Secondary Pathways Handout” summarizes key information as well. FINANCING POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION – SOURCES OF FUNDING
Does your student have questions about financing their post-secondary education? If so, please view the “Financing Your Post-Secondary Education” video for lots of information about scholarships, OSAP and other sources of funding to offset the cost of attending college or university. There are thousands of scholarships available and most do NOT depend on high marks! The “Financing Your Post-Secondary Education – Sources of Funding” handout summarizes the video as well. Guidance is here to assist your student during this exciting, yet sometimes stressful, time. Please encourage your student to book a Guidance appointment with their counsellor to speak further about post-secondary planning.
