February 7th, 2022
Dear WCI students,
We are Kenzy and Nicole, your 2021-22 Student Trustees, and we are inviting all WRDSB secondary students (Grade 9 to 12) to our upcoming Student Roundtable on Wednesday, February 9 from 5-7 pm.
During the Roundtable, we will be talking about equity and inclusion in WRDSB schools with guest speaker Deepa Ahluwalia, our board’s Human Rights and Equity Advisor. She will be starting the conversation with an overview of our board’s efforts towards equity and inclusion, in addition to answering any related questions you might have.
Information on how to RSVP has been sent to your student email.
If you are a student and have questions, feel free to email or DM us if you have any questions, comments or concerns.
What is Student Roundtable?
This year, we are doing something new! We have launched a more inclusive consultation platform called “Student Roundtable.” The Roundtable is for Grade 7 to 12 WRDSB students to come together and discuss student issues, provide input on changes happening within the Board, and bring forward other related matters that are important to you. During these discussions, we will be inviting Board staff to speak to some of the topics that are most important to students.
We hope to see you there!
– Kenzy Soror and Nicole Vishkin
