Welcome to the 2023-2024 year, Vikings!
We hope you had a great summer! Please see below for some important information from the Guidance team.
First Day Information: The first day information sheet is here. Tuesday, Sept. 5th is a P.D. Day so your first day of classes is on Wednesday, Sept. 6th. Note that Wednesday is a shortened day for Grade 10-12 students – you only come to school for 11:50AM-2:25PM. Grade 9 students will come for a full day. Buses will run on a normal schedule. When you arrive at WCI, you will see lists posted near the entrance doors with your name and homeroom listed. Please proceed to your homeroom.
Timetables: We are not permitted to distribute timetables at this time. Timetables will be given out next Wednesday in your Period 1 class. If you have a spare during Period 1, please come to the Main Office to pick up your timetable. Please note that MyBlueprint is NOT accurate at this time.
Course Change Requests: Course change requests will ONLY be considered for the following reasons:
1) Course Level Changes in Compulsory Courses (i.e. college level English course to a university level English course)
2) Prerequisite Courses Required for Pathway Changes (i.e. change from pursuing arts to the sciences)
3) Failed Courses
4) Impacts from a Summer School Course
To request a course change, please complete the Course Change Request Form.
***THE LAST DAY TO REQUEST A CHANGE IS MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 11TH at 8AM.***
Please avoid emailing your Guidance Counsellor about timetable requests. If a change is possible, we will email you or contact you in class next week. Please note that many courses are FULL and changes are extremely difficult at this time. Please remain in your course until you are contacted by your Guidance Counsellor that a course change is possible.
NOTE: We are unable to respond to individual emails at this time regarding course changes.

Appointments with your Guidance Counsellor: Appointments will be available as of Monday, September 18th, 2023. Please visit the WCI Guidance webpage to book an appointment using the “ONLINE BOOKING LINK“.
