We would like to remind Waterloo Collegiate students and families that Thursday, November 6th, is a board-designated Assessment and Evaluation Support Day.
During this support day, most students are not required to attend in person and will work from home to complete any outstanding assignments or evaluations.
The Mid-Term Assessment and Evaluation Support Day, however, provides opportunities for classroom teachers to collaborate with selected students on credit rescue and assignment completion, and/or to offer additional opportunities for students to demonstrate specific or overall curriculum expectations.
Teachers will invite specific students who may benefit from the targeted in-person support mentioned above to attend.
Support for the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) will be available for students who may benefit from additional targeted assistance from staff.
Please note that the timetable will mirror the regular school day schedule.
Students in secondary congregated classrooms and alternative education programs will be attending in person on November 6th to ensure they receive the necessary support for their continued learning.
