The Waterloo Collegiate Institute community sincerely mourns the loss of Vlad Gryshchenko, a gifted and curious Grade 11 student from last year. Vlad was truly an inspiring individual, full of a love for learning and a talent for sharing fascinating facts about science, history, and the world around us.
Vlad was a remarkable young man with many talents. He was a vital part of the WCI school community, passionate about music, sports, and all things STEM.
In his memory, flags at the Education Centre and WCI will be lowered to half-mast this week.
Our heartfelt sympathies go out to his parents, Oleksiy and Olga, and his older sister, Sophia.
