Our tech department offers a wide array of courses in Transportation, Woodworking, Construction, Communication, Design, Electronics and Manufacturing. In Grade 9 we offer a “try tech” course that allows students to try a few different areas of tech. Many of these courses can lead to awards at Skills Canada and Skills Ontario, yearly competitions in each skill area.
This course is an introduction to the full programs offered from grades 10 to 12. The focus of the course will depend on the area of expertise of the teacher(s) offering the course. This course will prepare students for the exciting technological world. This course will emphasize both hands-on activities as well as theory.
